Hello. I'm 24 year old female and my mother has recently been diagnosed with some condition called endometriosis. I don’t know anything about it but I know she had some terrible symptoms such as strong abdominal cramping that lasted for several weeks, along with excessive vaginal bleeding that wasn’t associated with normal menstrual bleeding. Anyway, finally she has contacted some gynecologist and he determined that she suffers from some difficult form of endometriosis. I basically know what it is about but I don’t know what kind of treatment is possible in this case. Please help me to understand these things!

Hello. I'm very sorry to hear that your mother has developed this condition but, don’t get me wrong- I'm glad that you aren’t the one with this problem, because many young women are more and more diagnosed with it.
By your age, I can tell that your mother is middle aged woman and the she probably doesn’t planning to have more kinds. I'm saying this because hysterectomy- surgical removing of the uterus is currently considered by most the only effective treatment for symptomatic adenomyosis. She will not be able to have any more kids but this problem, that could complicate a lot, will be solved once for all.
