go diannexx :) I was about to post the same thing :) great minds think alike! to the post re:red bull, like people have said, everyone is different, but I would certainly not attempt it due to the fact duromine is a stimulant and so is caffeine. mix that with the guarana or whatever else is in red bull and id have a fully blown psychotic episode and panic attacks to the max! im a "drinker", meaning, I enjoy a drink but am trying to cut down, but when take duromine with it, it seems like all is well for an hour or so, then I have a major crash, get teary and then angry then teary, and I feel like my body have been running marathons for weeks straight. I youre only having a few a couple of times a week even, it should be fine, only based on my personal experience, but as people have also said, with all the empty calories in it, you may as well have 2 big mac meals :)

I was having a great time on Duramine losing lots of weight and cured of chronic hay fever. My thinking became incredibly clear and the only side effect I had was a bit of dry mouth. But just this week I suddenly started getting terrible ongoing headaches and nausea. I have just realized from reading the posts that the healthy coconut kefir I have been sipping intermittently is slightly alcoholic. I haven't had much of it, just a little sip 3 times a day after eating. Wow - if this is the effect of little sips, I'd hate to think what a whole glass would do to me.

Most doctors only give duromine to overweight people. I don't think they would give it to young teenagers because alot of them would probably get addicted and there are a lot of side effects. But i am 17 and the doctor prescribed me with duromine even though I have epilepsy, i gain 25kg in a very short amount of time because of the epilepsy tablets that made me gain weight and i also have polycystic ovarian syndrome where you can't lose weight as easy as other people and you put on weight easy. When I was 16 I was 75kg and then went back to 50kg. I take it now and then when I do put on weight but not like every month. But i probably wouldn't suggest it unless you were obese. And the side effects can get a little extreme. And they are very hard to get if you aren't overweight or obese. And if you're just a teenager that wants to take duromine just to lose weight I don't suggest it because these tablets are for people that really are obese. And there are so many side effects. I hope you find the right way to lose weight but :).

I have just started duromine and am having problems cutting back on my alcohol. I am finding it really hard. Does alcohol stop the working of duromine? I certainly don't get the buzz feeling a lot of people are getting.

There is two reasons why alcohol & duro should not be mixed - 1. You will not feel the effects of alcohol as much (as other people have stated here) and yes alcohol poisoning is a risk, 2. Duromine is metabolised in the liver, and adding alcohol will almost certainly cause liver damage. to what extent would depend on your genetics and quantity over time etc

I have been prescribed 30mg for weight loss. What my doc doesnt know is that i was a fairly heavy recreational speed user a couple of years ago. Do you think duromine will have less of an effect with me? I am on my 7th day taking duromine and feel no effects at all. I still feel hungry And definitley dont get any buzz or side effects as mentioned above. Maybe i need a 40mg prescription?

Any doctor worth their salt should only be prescribing duromine to you ONLY if you are overweight/obese. You're only young so taking these pills is not the answer if you're not overweight. Get some friends together and go walking. Have lemon with hot/warm water in the morning as this is a natural way to rid the body of toxins and gives the metabolism a boost. Drink more water every day, stay off the soft drinks and chocolate (except 70% cocoa) as these are loaded with sugar. Eat more fruit.

Johnomaybe - I think the reason your hands look bigger is because you're taking twice the amount of this pill than recommended on a regular basis and its making you a little high. This will also inhibit your sex drive so I guess don't take so much daily. It's too expensive anyway to take like that. By the end of your little babble as you called it I was laughing at what you wrote as it would appear that the 22 drinks and the pills were really kicking in! Good luck with that. :)

I was on 30mg and found not a great deal of difference as far as the eating went. Now I'm on 40mg and in 2 days have only eaten what I would normally consume in 1 day, if that. I also don't crave chocolate and fast food as I did before. I haven't tried alcohol with these and today is xmas so I probably won't take this pill today so I can drink and have a nice meal with the family. (Only been on it for 2 days now anyway). I cannot say about the effects of been a speed user if you go onto 40mg. It gives me a very, very little buzz but it just keeps me awake longer. Sleeping only around 5-6 hours a day. I think if you move, walk or do more throughout the day this will improve and sleep will come easier. Duromine is speed but only minor compared to how you were taking it previously.
