Good question, this more normal than you think and happens for a lot of women. I find there is two types of tearing, one that Tamara described that happens at the bottom of your opening and the other is inside the vagina, which is caused by vaginal tearing. This is usually caused because A) you had some pain upon entry, making the penis force its way in, B) because you might not have been naturally lubricated enough. My suggestion is spend a little more time in foreplay, so that you can be better lubricated on the outside of the vagina not just the inside or use some lube if you want to for-go the foreplay!
