I can relate with exactly what you are going through, as the timeline is identical to mine. I have been using the Salter Labs 16 Soft-7. I have always used these without issue. In the last several months, I have become red and itchy. The skin around my neck where the cannula touches has gotten very inflamed red and horribly itchy. It keeps me awake at night and is a torment. My eyes have become red and puffy also. They itch like crazy, and burn. I looked at the package to see where they were made and it says MADE IN MEXICO. What on earth are they using to make these? These also make me sneeze and cough a lot and cause breathing problems. We should not be suffering like this!!

Hello.
If you're experiencing an allergic reaction or irritation from the cannula, it's advisable to discontinue its use and consult with a healthcare professional. They can evaluate your symptoms, provide appropriate guidance, and recommend alternative cannulas or solutions that may be better suited for you.
Additionally, if you suspect that the issue may be related to the manufacturing or materials used in the cannula, you can consider contacting the manufacturer directly or reporting the issue to the relevant regulatory authorities. They can investigate and provide further guidance.
In the meantime, you may want to try using a different brand or type of cannula to see if it alleviates your symptoms. It may also be helpful to keep the affected areas clean and moisturized, and consider using over-the-counter antihistamines or topical creams for temporary relief from itching and inflammation.
Can you tell me what symptoms do you experience?

I’d love to know what you’ve found out. I can’t use regular cannulas either, the “soft” one burn my face and the top and back side of my ears. I’ve tried the super soft one they’re not supposed to be as bad, but I still can use them. I have had a good bit of success using the ultrasoft cannulas. Only problem is actually getting what you are paying for. A lot of sellers will sell you the only ultrasoft cannulas that are actually just the soft cannulas. Anyway, I ran out of the ultrasoft and hard some super soft while I waited for my new order to come in. It only took about four days to arrive but unfortunately my face and ears got badly burned by the time they arrived. While the ultra soft cannulas don’t generally burn me, I really have to do my best at keeping them off my face and ears until these areas have healed. Otherwise the process is extremely slow.
Anyway, I’d love to find another solution.
