I am 15 and with a height of 5'6. I mesure myself everyday in the evening to see if I go any taller. And I don't. I have been measuring myself for along time now but still stays the same. I don't wanna stay this height because everybody in my school is taller than me and keep teasing me. How can I get taller?

The only answer is to get taller parents.

If it helps any, I'm about 2 inches taller than my father and he was about 2 inches taller than his father.

It is usually determined by family traits and there's nothing you can do about it. In general humans have been getting taller over the centuries. They usually attribute that to better nutrition both in the growing years and for the mother while you were in the womb.

You may have some growing left to do. It's not unheard of for someone to grow several inches in the later teen years.

Keep eating well and maybe you'll get lucky.

Thanks alot. My dad is taller than his father and from my mothers side of the family, every one is about 5'10 to 6 feet. I eat healthy most of the time and I work out two to three times a week for an hour or two. Will weightlifiting affect how tall I grow?

I don't think so. If anything it might make you shorter because weight compresses your vertebra.

To prove this, measure yourself as soon as you get up in the morning and again before you go to bed at night. You will probably be as much as an inch shorter at night.

If I adjust the rear view mirror in my car when I leave in the morning, when I get back in the car late in the day I will be seeing part of the head liner at the top of the rear window.

Yea, I have heard of this. Spinal decompression at night and compression at day. So weightlifting will just compress my spine and not my legs or arms? And also how much taller will I grow till I stop officially growing?
