Hi, I know that many people find Ambien to be good insomnia cure, but for me it is not good at all. I am still restless, staying awaken all night. Why am I not reacting to it?

Hi, there is the same situation with my friend. It is unexplainable why he can’t fall asleep with Ambien. I only got these strange hallucinations of me being in some Indian temple talking to Buda about my fishing plans, and other strange stuff. Ambien can cause severe side effects like hallucinations and extreme diarrhea. Normally, I tolerate drugs fine, but after a few hallucination experiences I am afraid to take it anymore or to start any new drug. Even, if it would be effective I question the ability to stay on this drug for months, and my insomnia is not likely to leave me alone. So, I started to listen to relaxation CD with forest sounds, and it helped.
