It's been 11 yrs since I had the hemrroidoctomy. I'm still suffering from exactly what you describe. The suffering from the surgery was horrific and the aftermath is a total struggle. I was told to have the second surgery also, but so extremely scared to even consider though I know 11yrs is long enough. I'm 61. Very active. And this just stands in the way of my life. I can't eat because I'm so bloated from not being able to eliminate. Pinky size also. It's pitiful! God help us both

I had a stapled hemorrhoidectomy in August and have anal stenosis. My surgeon just kept saying for me to take my fiber and I would be ok. Two months later I was unable to have a bowel movement. Doctors don't listen. I have pain every day in my back and abdomen. My muscles are so sore. They act like I am crazy when I tell them how I feel. I had a general surgeon do my procedure and I know that was my first mistake. I am lucky in that my husband is willing to dilate me every evening. I don't know that I would be able to do it myself as I still have pain where the scar tissue is. There are days that I just cry. I am still working but it is difficult. My quality of life is zero right now. I never feel like doing anything anymore and it doesn't seem like any of the doctors have any answers.

I feel your pain. My stomach looks like I am pregnant. I have never had a big stomach until after this procedure. I hate eating because I know I won't be able to eliminate what I eat. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't have.
