I never realized that ankle problems might be so complicated. I have injured my right ankle in the most stupid way, by falling down the stairs (only two stairs!). So, tomorrow I am going for arthroscopy procedure but I am still not sure if that is for diagnose or fixing the problem. Anyway, can you tell me something about the procedure itself and post op process?

I think that you should ask your doctor about the true nature of that procedure because it might be done for both diagnostics and returning the joint structure to a normal form. After that, post op process might last really fast, if you listen to your doctors orders, apply therapy, avoid using injured leg etc. This is required because otherwise joint parts might heal improperly and that will cause movement complications.
