I am soon going to the doctor, but I wanted to know if anyone else has shared my experience or has heard of anything like it.
A few weeks ago I started to feel ill--fever, chills, and localized pain and swelling in the left epididymis. I went to the doctor and got cipro for a couple of weeks and the symptoms went away a few days after I started it. It still hurt a little but it was less and less each day--I assumed just some residual pain from the infection.
Well, it's been nearly a week since the last antibiotic I took and there's residual pain--but very, very mild and usually at night or after physical activity. And then I noticed that the epididymis is still not physically back to its normal size or texture. It has several enlarged lumps (not very large) going an inch up the cord and the top of the epididymis is nearly twice its normal size and slightly hardened.
Has anyone else had this happen?

This is almost exactly what is going on with me. I still have a little pain just enough not to really want to do anything really active. I have been off of the medicine for about two weeks. Have you gotten back to normal yet?
