I am 3 days completely Cymbalta free after starting the weaning process in early July. I am in vertigo/dizziness/nausea HELL. But I'm not going to take any more. I was on Cymbalta for approximately 7 years. I never realized it might have something to do with the drug but I was very lathargic, had no appetite. Until now, I have been on some type of anti-depressant since I was 25yrs old. After intense psychotherapy and with a serious self determination, I decided I can go without being medicated. So I started weaning off in July. I have NEVER experienced mysery like this! My mental state is fine but my body is not. But again, I refuse to put any more of that stuff in my body. FYI, I am also going through menopause and was on 60mg of Cymbalta daily.

First, thank you for your service. Too many inappropriate things happen to our vets once they get home. I am so sad to hear your story. And I totally understand being labeled mentally defective. Same thing happened to me, and I could actually see that if I didn't do some thing good for myself, I could end up in jail. I felt like a nutter! I was diagnosed bipolar, put on Lithium...and guess what? I got worse. It turns out I was misdiagnosed. I have Mulitple Sclerosis. Now I am on MS MEDICINE, and I don't take cymbalta any longer. I don't know how things have gotten so messed up in our healthcare systems that these drugs are given out willy nilly, and if you don't take them, you are a non compliant patient. Thank you for saying that you got fired from a job that you loved! I did too. And I felt like a total loser. Now I just want to recover and see if I have any dream or goals left! God bless you.
