Hi, I don’t know what is happening to me, two last menstruations were so heavy and I lost so much blood, that it really scared me. It was never like this, and I don’t know what to do. Is there anyone with the same experience?

Hi, I am experiencing the same thing. I have heavy menstruations that last for five days. I have severe pain every time when I get my period, and I can’t get out of my bed for two days. I wake up in the morning and my bedding is covered with blood even if I have both a sanitary pad and tampon. I also have big clots that come out with blood. When I told my gynecologist about that, she examined me and said that pain is probably caused by big clots that are passing through cervix. Those clots can also block the flowing of menstrual blood from uterus, and the body reacts by creating an anti-clotting agent. However, there are many other possible causes for heavy bleeding, and you should visit your gynecologist to find out what your problem is. For example, it could be fibroids, polyps, pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis and some other conditions.
