Hi,

I had an apicoectomy done about 7 weeks ago on one of my front teeth I haven't fully recovered from this as over that time I have feelings of pressure and sometimes feels like there is something stuck under my gum. I felt the most pressure about a week and a half ago but since that it has felt like it is getting alot better but as of yet i still have a bit of a feeling there, like I no its there. Does anyone know if it takes this long to recover or should I be worried and get straight to my dentist.

Thanks for your help

For an apicoectomy, the recovery from the procedure is pretty much standard. As it's longer than a month since you've had the procedure done, it would be best to go to your dentist. But don't worry! I'm sure that whatever happened during the recovery process, they should be able to fix it as quickly as possible and you should be fine. I think it is cause for concern but you shouldn't worry because again, it really shouldn't be a huge issue. Does anyone else have experience with this? THanks for posting here. Keep us posted!
