i need new shoes. i discover that my current shoes are designed for medium to large framed runners. i am definitely a small to medium frame. does it really make any difference??? they are both neutral, cushioned shoes but the small frame shoe is less expensive. :? marketing hooey or valid issue? i'd just call roadrunner sports with the question, but i'm positive they'd sell me 10 things i didn't want and not even answer my question.

I never really thought of shoes for smaller framed folks. Seems to me no matter what size one is, you are still putting a lot of stress on the legs.

My vote is for marketing hooey

I've often wondered this too cuz I think most motion control shoes are labled for the big runners. I wear motion control shoes but I'm not big. Cappy is prolly right.

I think it really only matters if you have a large frame.

If you have a small frame, it's not a big deal. The shoes are made to support/endure more weight. So, you aren't adding anything to that equation--so as long as they're comfy...But, I wouldn't recommend going the other way so much. At least that's what experience has taught the Aire household.
