I've been diagnosed with HPV few months ago after I had a bump appear on my labia. I got it from a guy I had an affair with, and it was quite a mess when I had to call him and tell him to get checked (he’s married). As if things couldn’t get worse, now I’m afraid that he’s infected both me and his wife.

Next week I have scheduled regular pap screening and the more I read about it, the more I'm scared what will the results be. After the initial wart, I didn’t have any other symptoms, but what will happen if my pap shows I have abnormal cells? Does this always mean they could lead to cancer? Or is it possible for HPV infection to be cured completely and not cause any changes on my internal genital organs?
