I had an Austin Bunionectomy and a gastrocnemius recession on May 4, 2012, on the same leg. After all this time, I am still having stabbing pain in my surgical area on my foot and on my leg. The surgical site on my leg hurts when I lay on it at night. My surgical site on my foot hurts immensely oftentimes when I am just putting a sock on.

My Achilles tendon often aches down the whole length of my leg, and I have throbbing in my heel. The pain isn't enough to cry about, but it is painful and distracting.

Is this normal? I no longer have health insurance and thus do not want to go to the doctor unless necessary.

Thanks.
