I recently had a cat bite and was told to put bandaids on it that contained antibiotics on them. The wound got more and more swollen, red and itchy. It appeared I was having an allergic reaction. Is this possible? They were name brand bandaids. I was also on oral antibiotics. I took off the bandaids and finished the oral antibiotics, but still have a big red patch, much bigger than the original wound. The infection appears to be gone, but the red is still there. Any ideas? Thank you.
