My husband brought a big old load of salmon back with him yesterday, and I will be making it today. I think smoked salmon is awesome, but I am still asking myself what herbs, if any, to use with it. What are your opinions? What do you think are the best herbs for salmon?

I think coarse black pepper is the only thing you really need for smoked salmon. When I used to take the train to work every day, I often used to buy smoked salmon bagels at the station. They had black pepper and cream cheese, and salmon of course. I think this combination is totally heavenly.
