i recently had a baby and at my 6 week post-partum check up my doctor put me on the seasonique bcp. however i didn't recieve my pills until the day after i should have started them. because of that, my doctor said for the first month i shouldn't count on the pill for effective bc. when i was on my second to last pill, my boyfriend and i used a condom thatr broke. i don't know if i should be worried because it was so late in the month when i should have had my period (but didn't because of the seasonique stopping me from getting it), i started the new pack on time but i,m still a little paranoid. can someone let me know if i have a reason to worry?! i can't have another baby right now!

This type of birth control pill takes about a month to become effective in preventing pregnancy, but even if the pill wasn't effective at the time you had this accident with condom, it still happened well after your supposed ovulation (and chances are that the pill by the last two has managed to stop the ovulation by this time). So, I think that chances you are pregnant almost don't exist, but you know yourself that you will have to take the test to make 100 percent sure.
