About a month ago I had a bladder infection. We ruled it out, so I changed my hygiene habits, changed my eating quite drastically, changed the type of underwear I wear. I'm 17, live with my boyfriend whom is quite understanding of all this and helps me on this unbelievably crappy pains I get.. Now I have something that I don't think is a bladder infection, I do have kind of a burning sensation when I pee, along with outer burning aswell, I wouldn't say it's severely itchy but it definitely gets irritated. I am pretty active I ride horses go for walks etc. I just started to drink lots of water I don't take any antibiotics, I am on birth control but don't use a condom as I'm allergic to latex. there is also an uncomfortable regular discharge that doesn't have an odour or colour :/ please help I don't want this to be a re-occurring thing .. I have slept in hours because when I lay down it gets more painful

Hi! Have you been retested for a urine infection? (UTI) If you have one infection it's quite common to get them more regularly. The other thing is, it does sound like you could have thrush as well? You can take clotramizole for that and use cream as well. Although if I were you I'd get checked out for both. The other thing is that diet can affect thrush so can make it better or worse, so what have you changed in your diet. Also, things like horse riding can bruise the urethra, and as you only have a short urethra it can make you more susceptible to problems. I'd try the thrush treatment, see if it works and get re-tested for a UTI (that might account for being grumpy and the pains). Good luck!
