botox and hearing loss

I had Botox on the left side of my face for facial spasms starting about 6 years ago, which left my face looking a I had a stroke but the spasms keep me up at night so I have had them again but very small amounts every 8 months and discovered about 6 months ago that I have 70% loss of hearing and now I am getting ringing in my left ear which is 24-7, can't sleep etc. No one told me of the dangers.

Hi! Please help! I also had botox 5 days ago and my ears started ringing yesterday, but today they are hurting really bad. Could you please help and tell me if yours went away? I am so scared!

Hi Bhp! I just read flower2's response and asked her to email me, but you have had the exact same issue too! Could you please help me! I am 5 days out and the ear ringing and ear pain is getting worse. Did yours ever go away, I am so very afraid. As you know, there is no information out on the internet and nobody believes me when I saw it was the botox. I am very, very healthy individual and this all started one day after the botox. Please, if you have time, write me. I am alone in this and truly don't know what to do.

Did you get better? I see this is a year ago. Your exact story is happening to me right now! I am afraid. My ear pain is getting worse. Please help. If you can, reach me out. I am alone in this.

I am almost certain Botox caused my hearing loss and ringing in the ears. I got botox in my forehead last year and a few weeks later had hearing loss, ringing in my ear and felt like my ear was stopped up. Saw several doctors and had MRI and all doctors said Botox would not cause that. My hearing was finally coming back and the ringing stopped after 6- 7 months. I got Botox in my forehead again and guess what? A few weeks later same thing; hearing loss, ringing and fullness in the ear. So, if my hearing comes back in 6-7 months, I will know for sure Botox caused it.

I just put the link between botox injection and hearing loss together today. I had an injection 6/10/16 and lost my hearing suddenly in my right ear one week later on June 17, 2016. I went to an ENT that said I had significant hearing loss. There was no fluid, no obstruction and he said it was affecting my inner ear. He assumed it was a viral infection but I was not sick and he couldn't confirm this because there is no way of getting to the inner ear without damaging it. It is almost 1 year later now. My hearing has improved but it is not 100%. I use my left ear when using a telephone. I also have just starting having some dizziness but that is normal I guess with an inner ear issue. I never thought to tell either the dermatologist or the ENT about the botox/hearing loss. I didn't put the connection together until today. I have a botox appt scheduled for June 1 which I will now be canceling.

Just had first Botox injection, only 12 units in forehead, 8 days ago. Day 5 I woke with a bad ear ached. It has gotten worse daily. The pain shoots out suddenly, and my ear feels clogged. My scalp is sensitive. I am a super healthy person, have not had an earache my entire life. I've never dealt with this kind of nerve pain. In left ear. I KNOW it's from the Botox. I feel foolish for doing it, and hope I won't regret it forever. Praying this goes away...but wondering if it's permanent damage. I'm so distraught.

I had Botox 3 days ago and now I have a bad case of tinnitus. I am hoping it eventually will go away when the Botox fades out of my system...any other thoughts of of if and when people were back to normal?

I could have written your post. I am terrified. I was so healthy...now headaches and constant ringing in my left ear. I am 17 days since botox injections...please someone...tell me the tinnitus goes?

I also Lost my hearing on my left ear. It was sensory hearing neural loss. I had also done Botox in my jar for TMJ. It is strange to me that all of us have lost an hour left here. I did not have a virus, I was not in the ocean, and I was not in a loud place. I rolled out every question the doctors hard for me. I've even tried Accupuncture. It has now been one year and my hearing has not come back.

It is clear that my pulsatile tinnitis has a direct correlation to my botox. Within a few hours I had a very intense headache / migrane then woke up and felt like my head was under water and I couldn't hear. Next day turned into full blown pulsatile tinnitis (feels like my head is sitting in a semi truck.) But also has evolved to ear sensitivities with the PT.
I've had MRIs, CTs, etc. Been to the ER, seen my primary, ENT and neurologist. All clear. Even 2 of the doctors said "It seems obvious this is the botox." What no one knows is - will it go away? Sometimes it's not as bad, sometimes a level 10 and unbearable.
Does anyone have any stories of it getting better? Anything tools / sources to help it get better? HELP!
