I have had a sizzling sensation/ sound in my head off and on for 2 years. It has been constant now for over a month and happens every minute and last several seconds. It is driving me mad. I've had mri and it showed nothing. I've tried chiropractic and didn't help. I've asked doctors to listen to my head and they don't hear it. I wish I could find relief.

I was so surprised to find this forum, interesting. My brain cracking which no one in my world seems to understand is extremely loud, mostly happens when I am completely asleep, but wakes me up. I have had it for 3 yrs nows on and off. Medically I was diagnosed with Transverse Myletis which is a neurological disorder. The cracking started at the same time while I had other symptoms, with jolts and twitching throughout my body. Most of my symptoms have lessen greatly except the brain cracking, I feel it is the myelin in my case that has been damaged in my brain. Hence for the fireworks that go off in my brain with the cracking so loud and uncomfortable. I feel that this is the source, biologically of the cracking in my case.

I have it too, (DO NOT believe them when they say psychosis... that's to milk you like a sow for dough). Anywho, yes, I have this too. I am a young 23 year old man from Massachusetts. I'd suppose when we balance all of the risks we take with our food in the 21st century, whether that be foods with purposeful additives, Mono-sodium glutamate, or other bad dietary decisions, I feel as though this can play a part. After all, there is research showing that the MSG in those brand chips from Frito-Lay can be the culprit. Try to be homeopathic and do your DD for your health. Being scared is being scared, sure, but it can also be the Pain of Action. This is a known common mental struggle when initiating and ending functions in the chapters of our lives, but starting a healthy diet away from atrophy is a good start indeed. I'm not smart, just do my own DD as one could tell. I can do it immeasurably well too. Leafy greens to extend your energy and life! Vegetables, Fruits and grain mixtures and cross your fingers. That's all any of us can tell you, other than supposing procedures and surgeries over what you believe is necrotic tissue. I believe as a young man that if the human host of a suspected infection communicates grief, that it is always a doctors' duty to properly investigate, even if that person returns to you as a doctor, twice, thrice, no matter; you care for them and do the long and extensive job to square you away until they refer you elsewhere or apologize for there being no further possible options. We may live in a time where this is no longer respected. I've suffered through a series of unfortunate events, Lemony Snicket-style. It's no rosy experience.

I can only hope for a future where we can use the grieving complaints of the worried well individuals, in order to FEEL out how to solve complex medical issues, not limiting to the neuropsychological, medical and behavioral sectors. It would be a spectacular tangeant, rather than the prejudice against those peoples in today's world. God Bless

I am 17. When I was 13 I had brain surgery to get rid of a life threatening AVM, a mass of blood vessels that were basically knotted together in the cent if my frontal lobe. Since then I had nothing unusual, recently I started experiencing brain popping/cracking/almost like I'm having an aneurysm, it's scary I want to tell my doctor. It's been happening basically everyday, it's correlated to my breathing issues that get worse with anxiety, I fear it. When it happens i feel really weird and anxious. I forget to breath, and it happens, I breathe too much, and it happens. My breathing is always manual, I need to think "breathe" every breath I take. Similar to the cracking you hear when you swallow spit but louder and coming from the top of my head. I don't know what to do about it. If anyone has an explanation please tell me so I'm not so uneasy about it. The more anxious I am, the more it happens, I get dizzy and disoriented when it happens. I'm an anxious wreck. I have auditory hallucinations but this, this is not one of them, I can't stop focusing on my brain these days because of it and I think that makes it worse
