Hi, I am a 36 year old hairdresser. After I was finished working today, I noticed a bruise on top of my right hand . I do not remember hitting it, it doesn't hurt, so how did it get there? My theory is broken blood vessels, but how did I break them? Also I have been having tingling, numbing sensations in my fingers with my right hand only. Can You help me?

Sounds to me that you are getting carpel tunnel in your hand from doing hair all day long and the bruising might be a whole different problem because just the other day  I felt something hurt on the top of my left hand and it swelled up with blood around the entire top of my hand and was at least 2 inches high, filled with blood, my dad wanted to take me to the hospital but instead I put ice on it and right now all the blood must of disapated somehow....i also didn't hit my hand on anything so the only thing that could of happened was a blood vessel busted on its own.  So, that's all I can tell you, which isn't much but I can understand your concern....if it happens again...you better talk to your doctor, I worked in a factory all my life and had the numbing, tingling in my right hand, do to repeative work...you most likely are getting capel tunnel....Patty
