I have been challenged with a itchy groin area between the thighs for 2 or 3 months and most recently a burning scrotum. Like many of you, I have tried pretty much all the OTC creams which includes the most recent use of Hydrocortizone 1% which did bring some scrotum relief but with very itchy side effects all over my body. After stopping its use for about 5 days now has the overall body itching stopped.
I have tried apple cider vinegar, batch soaks, coconut oil, tea tree oil soap and got some small relief and made things I believe worse for my scrotum after spraying it with a couple of the popular OTC sprays. I believe our scrotum is so sensitive that it may react negatively if you keep spraying it with these strong jock itch sprays or using strong cortizone creams.
Finally after reviewing many, many videos by the Candida Crusher guy and reading over the hundreds of posts like exists here, I have found out one sure way to temporarily eliminate the random burning and stinging as I attempt to attack this problem both internally and externally using natural methods: buy and use some antihistamine medicine like Benedryl. You should experience major itching relief within 30-60 minutes.
What I have found is that our bodies immune system is hard at work trying to fight over invaders, fungi, bacteria, etc. and does so by releasing histamines which somehow send signals or its substance to our problem skin area. Thus if your groin area is where there are fungi, irritation, etc. that's where the histamine is going to go and why we are getting the frequent or random stingers that pain so much.
I've tested this out using this week not using Benedryl and using it and found that I couldn't go through the day hardly at all without having to use ice, yes ice to soothe my burning groin. It was crazy as I couldn't really work, sit at a restaurant without having to get up and go to the bathroom to scratch, run cool water to put on it to relieve it somewhat. I also couldn't sleep well at night without having to put some ice on my scrotum to get some relief from the painful stinging here or there on my scrotum.
This morning I woke up and was starting to feel that nasty itch and burning coming on to my scrotum and decided to use 2 capsules of Benedryl I had and have had no burning at all over the last 6 hours.
My current strategy to eradicate this Candia/ Jock Itch/ Red Burning Scrotum issue is as follows: attach it from both sides: internally and externally aggressively. I am using 2 cups of water 2 morning and night with 2 drops of tea tree oil and 2 drops of lavendar oil. I stir it and use a paper towel to watch this over all of the problem area and blot it dry. Before I go to sleep I take one tablespoon of coconut oil and place 2 drops of lavendar oil in it and mix it. I then take my fingers and spread this mixture all over my scrotum and between my thighs or wherever there is an jock itch issue. I then sleep with no underwear on and let it air dry. In the morning I use the rinse I mentioned before and include my Bendryl and go about my day.
Internally my goal is to get rid of the Candida overgrowth and add good bacteria into my system. I do that by changing my lifestyle and eliminating all of the white sugar from my diet for the most paper. No surgery drinks, pop, fruit juices, coffee with sugar in it, candy bars, muffins or food with carbs that convert to sugar in your system. I am eating at least 2 tablespoons of pure virgin coconut oil, taking a vitamin D3, Vitamin C, Probiotic, Garlic and multivitamin to boost my immune system while eating many green leafy vegetables in my diet.
Lastly, I am starting again to walk and light weights to boost my strength and increase my immune system so it can always be primed and strong to keep future bacteria, fungi attacks at bay.
I decided I wasn't going to the doctor as most seem to really not know what this is or how to best addressed the root cause which I believe is a Candida overgrowth that most people seem to have because we love sugar so much. I'm not signing up for a bunch of side effects trying this steriod, cortizone or antibiotic which by the way lowers your immune system every time you use them.
There it is, I hope something I said brings help and comfort to someone suffering from this dreaded issue. I don't ever want to go with this again which is why I'm working on the long term cure or approach to ridding myself of this permanently.

I found out that for myself the culprit was my prescribed medicine to curb high blood pressure, potassium based pills.

and if not that pay attention to any prescribed medicaments on which you have started recently, many of those carry side effects and usually are not the same effects to everyone, those drugs that Drs. Prescribe or they cure you or kill you.
