Hi, I need some help with my 8 year old kid. He ate the shrimps for the first time and it looks like he developed some lip swelling almost immediately after those shrimps. We are going to the doctor tomorrow but I would like to know of there is some medication for this, if anything happens. Can any drug help me with his shrimp allergy?

Usually, corticosteroids and anti histamine meds are used in dealing with the allergy, but I would not suggest you to give him anything until the doctor checks him out. And since he is not near the shrimp now, there should be no fear that he might have an allergic reaction again. But don’t give him any other seafood too unless the doctor says otherwise.
