Hi there, my second son is 2.5 years old and I can feel what I think is occipital gland (back of the left ear). I first realized this when he was few weeks old. I just worried because it is still there (I thought it will disappear with age). It is about a pea size and you can feel it (moving a bit) when you rub it back and forth. I am quite worry because I can't feel mine or his brothers at all.
He looks healthy and growing normally (weight and height). It does not appear to be painful if I pressed it a bit. When he is few months old I mention it to his dr and he said nothing to worry. He seems to have a bit problem with dandruff (his scalp is a bit dry and can peel off a bit like dandruff). He needs to clean his hair every day.
Also as a child he has few infections by bacteria and virus like tonsils, measle (got it before the schedule immunization). Also he seems to have better antibodies than his older brother (less getting sick). Should I bring my sons for further check up? Thanks for your info.
