I appreciate your response and can understand why posts to beat the tests are frustrating. However know this, there are times when a person is trying to just get through the test for a good reason. I have quit smoking, however am in terrible need of back surgery. My insurance company will not pay for my surgery until I have two clean tests. Because I am overweight it is taking longer for all traces to be removed. It isn't always about dishonesty

I quit vaping on this past Monday with a urine test for nicotine/ cotinine test this Friday. 4 full days with drinking lots of water should do it, you say? I hope so. I really need this job and only found out this past Monday that I had to take a nicotine urine test. If I had known earlier before all the paperwork I was doing, I would have quit sooner!!

Im in the same situation my sleeve surgury is sceduled for april 20 and there telling me the same thing to quit smoking or else they will turn you away on the day of your surgury so im MN doing what I have to do whover is in this type of situation keep up the fight its always better on the other side.lb pray for me

I am a smoker that needs to pass a test to get a job I want. I do not want to quit but I will for this job. For those who say that cigarette use leads to bad health, I am 50 and the last doctor I saw was a pediatrician. I have nothing wrong with my health that any other 50 year old doesn't have. So I am singled out as a smoker and made to change my life to fit the false beliefs of the "people in charge", while the obese, those with preexisting health issues, diabetics, high BP etc are not excluded from employment. They are adding to the cost of healthcare much more than I am. WTF !!!

I drank about 1800mL of water for 4 days, no nicotine for four days, 2 cranberry pills each day, a b-complex, 1000 mg of vitamin c, 50 mg of zinc, drank 24 oz iced dandelion/licorice tea, and ate lots of fresh garlic. I avoided cabbage, brocolli, kale, and ALL nightshade veggies. I worked out as I normally do but made sure to walk 2 mikes each day at a quick pace. I'm 5'6", 180 lbs. It worked-I passed AND have not had cravings. I was a 12 cigarette per day person and the test was sprung on me last minute. I ate cooked veggies rather than raw and didn't skimp on the proteins. The day of the test, my urine was clear so I ate two cheeseburgers, slammed an iced black tea and let it settle for half an hour. Worked for me.

people like me have quit smoking.....maybe not a recently as I should have however I want to make sure I will be able to have it out of my system in time to see my dr and be able to have my breast reduction done. I have quit as of today and have only 10 days to pass this test to have my surgery scheduled so this information is very helpful for me. Not everyone is sneaky and underhanded and trying to fool the system, some of us just need a boost in the right direction and a little added confidence!!!! And I as well watched my grandfather die a painful death from lung cancer though it was not the cancer that killed him it was the treatment for it and he had quit smoking 25 years prior to his stage 4 diagnosis.

I would love to hear what happened. I am trying to have gastric bypass as well. I have done everything else. This is the only thing keeping me from surgery. I just can't quit. It's such a stupid rule. I understand the risk buthonestly if I keep getting fatter I'm just going to die anyways. So frustrating. Please help.
