Hi, Me and my long standing gf had unprotected sex during the last day of her pill. I did not ejaculate inside her, but I am aware of precum.

Now (approx 2days after the end of her period) she is feeling faint, tired and physically week. We are concerned she is pregnant, but I believe these symptoms are due to her new pill which she started taking the same days she being to feel "ill" with the above symptoms.

How likely is it that she is pregnant?

Thanks

0 -1%! 1st she is on the pill - which is about 98 - 99% effective, PLUS you didn't ejaculate inside - which is about 60% safe - so you take 605 of 1 - 2% and those are your odds! She wouldn't be feeling like she is SO soon IF she were pregnant! So relax OK? What I will tell you is this you can rdeduce the risk to 0% if you wear a condom ALL the time! This way there will be no 1 - 2% chance OK? Good luck and health! Hope this helps!

Thank you for the information and advice bambi. I expected the symptoms to be from a new pill which she started. If you could answer just one or two more questions for IF we were to have unprotected(without a condom) sex, is the a "better"(for lack of a more appropriate word) time to do so whilst she is on the pill? i.e. less chance of impregnating.

I am only asking so to be informed/educated more on the topic as we extremely rarely have sex without a condom.

From what I have read this "better" would be after the first 7 days of her period and 10days before she is due to be on her period.

Thanks again.

There is no good or bad time when she is on the pill! She usually doesn't ovulate, and the 1 - 2% happens when there is an occaisional ovulation! The 4th week - or the sugar pill - is to bring on a "fake" ovulation - causing a "Pill Period" Just always wear a condom OK? It's WAY safer bet - and if you ever have another partner - you will be FULLy protected always OK?
