Yesterday my girlfriend and I were dry humping and she had loose shorts and underwear on and at one point, before ejaculation, I had nothing on. When I did ejaculate, it was in my boxers, but I’m worried that prior to this, precum could have possibly come in contact with her underwear. Concerned whether I should have her take a plan B or not. Pre-ejaculatory fluid, or precum, can contain sperm, but usually at a lower concentration than ejaculated semen. The risk of pregnancy from precum is lower, but it's not zero. If your girlfriend had her shorts and underwear on, they would provide a barrier.
However, the effectiveness of this barrier could be compromised depending on the wetness of the fluids and the type of fabric. Thin or saturated fabric could potentially allow sperm to reach the vaginal area.
The risk can also be influenced by the duration and intensity of the activity. If you're concerned about a potential pregnancy, emergency contraception like Plan B may be an option. It's most effective when taken as soon as possible after the event, but can be taken up to 72 hours afterward.
