I never realized how some occupations can be hazardous for your health, until I heard about my friend's father's case. He is 57 years old and he has been diagnosed with Byssinosis, I don't know much about it, except that it is occupational disease and related to lungs. Can we prevent Byssinosis somehow? How dangerous it is?

It can be very dangerous, and if the medical reaction is not immediate, it can end up with the death of the patient. As for the prevention, well I am not sure if there is anything that can prevent it 100% efficiently, because it is not easy to stop the cotton dust from entering our organism. I guess that the safest thing to do is just change the job, if that is possible at all.
