My husband has poly-cystic kidney disease passed down from family. Since he has seen what his other (or  now deceased family members) either went through or watching now what dialysis & all the nastiness it brings, along with heartache, he is refusing dialysis but said he would do a transplant. But...  About 4 years ago he had a nearly fatal heart attack that left him with 1/3 of it not working as well as 3 shunts/stints(??)

He is also a pretty stubborn guy.  He won't quit smoking, or drinking pop; eats pepperoni pizza more than he ever should. Has HBP too. Will only eat green beans, no salads or 'strange things' he says..  He is a truck driver, need I say more? (not a lazy slob kinda guy either, the kind that gets the job done type)  Work work work....

I really sort of think I know where he will end up, but just wondering if anyone sees any kinda hope for this guy of mine. His levels just went to 17% from 22% just in little than a month & 1/2.

Signed, Wife.
