Recently my wife and I had sexual relations. Afterwards my penis was covered in thick white "cottage cheese" looking stuff. Come to find out she had a yeast infection. Also, my penis became very irritated to the point of burning, itching, and a small break in the uncircumsizec skin. I cleaned it daily and applied ointment but it lasted for over a week. We continued to have sex and she developed some swollen nodes and a fever. She went to the dr. and was tested for STDs and it came back positive. Don't know which one yet cause she's going in to find out. Anyway, she believes I gave her a std and prior to the yeast infection I had no signs of irritation. Can someone maybe explain what's going on? my wife and I had sexual relations. Afterwards my penis was covered in thick white "cottage cheese" looking stuff. Hi Jim,
Yeast infections are very common in women and as you've found, it can spread. Especially if you are uncircumcised.
As for an STD, yes, either or both of you could have one for a very long time and not know. Some, such as chlamydia, often present no symptoms. In some cases it can even lead to infertility.
Wait for the results to come back. Then you'll both know what you're dealing with.
Also, just because she has one doesn't mean you do.
Good luck.
