Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me with some direction and diagnosis to this on-going problem I have been having for years. I have been to several doctors about it and the problem never gets resolved.
After I gave birth to twins 9 years ago I developed this chronic chough. I still have it today and it has gotten progressively worse.
I would go to my primary doctor, get chest X-rays, etc. and be sent home. Once I was sent to get tested for Asthma and the doctor was horrible and practically called me a hypochondriac and was pushed into speech therapy of all things. The speech therapist worked with me on the cough. They tested me for swallow issues and came up with nothing. Then I went on to a GI doctor that said I had GERD and I take Priolsec for. I do not have heartburn at all.
I cough constantly on a daily basis. I feel like I am drowning a lot of the time. I do cough up a little phlem. My chest is itchy and feel like something is stuck.
I am 41 years old.
Thoughts.
