For the past three weeks, I have been getting tension headaches, lightheadness, feeling like I might pass out. This past week I walked out of class because I felt this way and my heart was palpitating really fast. It continued to do it the rest of the night and the following day, so I went to see the doctor. My pulse was 142 and blood pressure was 135/78. They did an EKG which came out abnormal, but weren't too concerned about. I was given Xanax because they believe I have anxiety. I was asked to come for a follow up three days later and my pulse is high at 104 and blood pressure as 139/83. My heart tends to feel like there is a cramp in it and my left arm feels like nerves are getting pinched. Can both these issues be interrelated? I already have appointments lined up for both cardiologist and neurologist, just trying to see if anyone has similar issues or can shine light on to what I am experiencing.

Anxiety can mimic a lot of health issues....From my experience I suffered a lot from your symptoms. I felt like I had pins and needles everywhere inside my body , sometimes in my head other times in my back . It felt like I had electric shocks , short pulses but frequent. Feeling of passing out was completely normal. These are all what are called panic attacks ......Try and remember any past experiences which made you feel feeling like this. Were there any , bad experiences such as deaths in ure family, illness, cancer, divorce, financial problems ? They can all trigger your system to start to work strange and out of control . You should try and have time for yourself , by doing some relaxation techniques . On The internet you find a lot of help how to control you emotion psychological stress...
