I have been on carisopordol for last 10 days. It relieves pain and makes me suffer less. I am not sure if it has to make me drowsy, or it’s just me? Does carisopordol have sedative effect? I still have not started with physical therapy; I stay at home, in bed whole day long and am drowsy and with lack of energy.

Carisoprodol relaxes muscles and as adverse effect has sedation. It blocks pain sensations that are sent to central nervous system. I guess that you need to have rest because of injury that you had. It is normal to be drowsy while on carisoprodol and it is recommended to avoid activities like driving i.e. and the other that can be hazardous. You’ll feel stronger and less drowsy when start with physical therapy.
