Hi! My mom has been going through a tough time the last 7 months. For 7 months she has been having abnormal and frequent bowel movements. Her Bowel movements are all day and after she eats. She describes them as not a solid and not diarrea, but more of a mud consistency. Also the past month has been having muscle pain in her wrist then up her arms so bad she can't lift her arms. She has had a colonoscopy and endo, xrays, and bloodwork. Everything has been normal and the doctor told her nothing was wrong. The nurses told her that her potassium came back extremely high and usually they would admit someone to the hospital when the levels are that high, but the doctor didn't? Not sure if all this is tied to one cause or illness? Please help!! Is anyone familiar with these symptoms. She is on absolutley NO Prescriptions, Vitamins, Antibiotics or anything. HELP!!

Well it souds like she should probably not take in as much potassium as she has been taking in, so reduce that and it should help with the bowel movements. Also, just to be curiuos, but is your mom taking in any caffeine? Caffeine causes loose stool and it could be a good idea to lay off that. What do you think?
