My ob-gyn found out that I am having an endocervical polyp when I went for my regular pap smear test. She told me there is nothing to worry and got it removed immediately. I had a lot of bleeding that day and it got reduced by the next day. Well, I also had some spotting for a week. This happened on the 10th day of my regular menstrual cycle. Now, I am expecting my period since a couple of days and it didn't turn up yet. Is this delay something do with the polyp removal ? Has anyone faced a similar situation ? Please help ...

I had my cervical polyp removed 2 weeks ago. It had been spotting then. I think my period came early, about 24 days cycle. But I had lots of blood clots and heavy bleeding on the first day and little bleeding for 9 days (especially after I move around). My doctor told me that the cut was healed, the bleeding must be from the uterus. I took some herbs to stop the bleeding and it seemed to work. My period had been messed up completely this time: I had cramps and blood clots and heavy bleeding.
