I have a cervical polyp and a uterine fibroid and i was told not to have sex by my ob but i did it anyway. There was very heavy bleeding so much that it was dripping down my leg and soaked the bed. Should I go to the ER even if the bleeding has slowed down but not completely stopped. (It was bleeding on and off everyday before the incident but the doctor told me that would happen and not to worry unless it soaked a pad)

Polyps do bleed especially if knocked.
If the bleeding has nearly stopped then thats a good sign. If it starts to bleed for no reason i would get medical help.
I have very recently been in hospital for a DnC an the removel of a suspected polyp. (it wasnt tho when they looked, it was a fibroid). Mine was in the bladder, so a bit higher up than yours. I was bleeding during sex.
I wasnt told to stop sex. So im thinking its not dangours for them to bleed.
But i was told that all polyp need to be removed as in time they can turn nasty.
Is your going to be removed? As i recommend to do so.
