Hi, so I've been suffering with dizziness for about 4 months now. Long story short, I've seen many specialists (3 ENTs, cardiologist, and neurologist), been to the ER 4 times since the dizziness began and no one can give me a definitive cause. However, I am almost certain this all began when I was doing Yoga at home and moved my head and neck from a hanging position and hyperextended it. I stood up and I immediately felt dizzy and nauseous and threw up twice. I tried to sleep it off, but even had a hard time lying down from the dizziness. Ever since then, I felt imbalance. My first ENT thought I might have had a tear in my inner ear, so I was on bedrest for about 2 months and about a month ago my neck problems became much worse. My neck stiffened up so much, I can hardly move it. I guess since it was triggering my dizziness, I was inadverantly not moving it. I literally couldn't move my neck without my body shaking. And I woke up twice unable to hold my head up. And I started getting tightness and extreme head pressure on top of my head with numbness and tingling down mostly my arms, sometimes my legs. I started moving my head and neck again and it became more mobile about 3 weeks ago and I notice that the top part of my neck feels disconnected from the rest. It doesn't move with the lower part of my neck or body. And if I throw my head and neck forward or backwards, it would get stuck in that position and I feel like I can support my head. And I would have trouble swallowing if I throw my head backwards (feels like a lump in my throat) and would have to "move my neck back" by bending my chin to my neck. I've had a cervical and brain MRI and it was normal. But I know x-rays or CT is better at detecting bony abonormalities and when I had the cervical MRI, my neck was still stiff. It's only once I started moving it again did I began experiencing all these neck symptoms, along with dizziness/nausea when I move my head and neck. Pleas help, I'm suppose to go vestibular rehab in a couple of days and they treat cervical dizziness, but with such severe neck symptoms, I'm wondering if I can possibly have a fracture? Right now, my head pressure if pretty intense and it's scaring me. I'm tired of going to the ED. Since I'm young (25 y.o.), they think I'm making it this up and the last time I was there, the ED physician said for me to "stop doing it to myself" and refused to give me any treatment. They did a CT of head to rule out hydrocephalus, which is what my primary care doc thought I had. She didn't even consider my neck problems. Also, I don't have very severe neck pain, just aching soreness of my shoulders from holding my unstable neck and head and throughout my body from all the months of bedrest.

I have suffered from dizziness too. Had also seen 3 ENT’s, a neurologist, 3 chiropractors, physiotherapist and a PT. Had several MRI’s and was finally told I had cervicogenic vertigo and DDD . I felt like my offness got better once I started seeing a PT who got my neck moving with all the stiffness that developed since I wasn’t wanting to move my neck , because it made me feel more off. Finally had cervical surgery , due to MRI results from neurosurgeon and now my dizziness Is worse. It’s been extremely frustrating. Did you ever get answers you were seeking?
