Hi my name is Krystle and I am 19 years old. About 2 years ago I had an abortion and then about 3 or 4 months ago I found out that I had chalymdia. But I got treated for it and now I am fine. But the reason I am here is because the last time I got my period was May 1 thru the 6 of this year and I have a lot of the pregnency symptoms so I took a couple home pre. tests and they came back neg. then I went and got blood work done and it came back neg. too. So I finally went to my OBGYN and he said that my cervix is inflamed and sowollen. So my question is could I be pregnant and does you cervix get inflamed or sowollen when you pregnant? Thanks

Hi there,

I don't think it is a symptom of pregnancy. I have had an inflamed cervix before - by doctor diagnosed bacterial vaginosis. My period was also late at the time, but she didn't think that had much to do with it. Another possibility is pelvic inflammatory disease - did your obgyn take any swabs?
