I am 18 years old, and got circumscised nearly 2 years ago due to medical reasons. After the operation stitches were left in my penis that were supposed to disintegrate over time. I was worried that they were still there a few weeks later, so went back into the hospital to have them taken out by the doctor. He assured me the lumps and indents made by the stitches would smooth out over a few weeks/months. They haven't, and I'm worried they will be there for life. I realise getting circumscised later in life will mean healing is slower, but is there any way to smooth out these lumps as it is causing me to worry a great deal.

Thank you

Hi Zombie,

It's not uncommon for the stitches to leave scars, but they should not leave bumps and ridges.
Check with your doctor, the one that did the surgery.
