Hi there! As far as I know MS is not CNS vasculitis although the symptoms may be similar and the same thing has been “impaired.
Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disorder in which the body’s immune system attacks the myelin, fatty substance that covers most of the nerve fibers in the human body, found in both central and peripheral nervous system. Due to attack, myelin occurs in patches and may start to interfere with nerve message and cause variety of symptoms among which muscular weakness, loss of coordination and speech, visual disturbances, etc

CNS vasculitis is also an autoimmune disorder in which the body’s immune system attacks the blood vessels that supply the brain and spinal cord causing an inflammation of the blood vessels. This inflammation slows the normal blood flow to the brain and spinal cord and may damage CNS and start causing different symptoms.

CNS vasculitis symptoms may be hard to distinguish from symptoms of other neurologic diseases like multiple strokes due to atherosclerosis, multiple sclerosis or emboli.

CNS vasculitis is very hard to diagnose since there are no special tests for it and it is very hard to separate from other forms of neurologic disease.
