Hello,
Multiple sclerosis is inflammatory disease of the brain and spinal cord (central nervous system). It affects white matter, which is made of nerve fibres. Nerve fibres are responsible for transmitting signals within the central nervous system, meaning nerve fibres are communicators.
Multiple sclerosis is very unpredictable and very variable, besides the symptoms and damage the MS makes, varies very greatly. That is why there are no two people with same symptoms of MS and no exact consequences. In general, people with MS can experience partial or complete loss of any function that is controlled by, or passes through, the brain or spinal cord (meaning loss of sight, loss of speech, and other much more vital functions!)
