Hi, vasculitis is the correct expression. And it represents an inflammation of the blood vessels in the body. In autoimmune diseases, body’s immune system attacks the body’s own blood vessels. It produces inflammation reaction. As a result blood vessels are damaged and many complications may develop. All sorts of blood vessels can be affected: arteries, veins, and capillaries. Inflammation of blood vessels leads to narrowing, making it more difficult for blood to flow through. In worst cases some blood vessels may even close off completely so that blood can’t get through at all, this is called occlusion.
