Yes, but more and more women are having their first baby after the age of 35, and I am one of them. There are risks, but basically if a woman is healthy, and she takes care of diet, moderate exercise and avoids all negative habits such as alcohol, cigarettes, not to mention drugs, and of course if she avoids stress or tried to manage it as much as possible, there shouldn't be any problems. I believe a healthy woman in her late 30s or 40s can have healthier pregnancy and she can give birth to a healthy baby comparing to an unhealthy woman in her 20s. It is more a matter of lifestyle ... of course the age is important, but lifestyle is inevitably too!
