Hello. I'm 22 year old female and I would like to find out more about one very interesting and important thing.
You see, just recently I've become sexually active and I would lie if I would say that I'm not enjoying. We use condoms all the time.
About two times, we couldn’t wait for my menstruation to end and we had intercourse while bleeding was still present. These couple of times my boyfriend wanted to ejaculate in me without any protection. I refused of course, but he told me I'm being silly because conception couldn’t occur during menstruation.

Hello. I've just read your post and decided to help you to understand some of things related to this problem.
You boyfriend was and wasn’t right. If it is truly a menstrual period, then pregnancy will not occur. But how sure you can be that we are talking about regular menstrual bleeding.
You see, vaginal bleeding could occur from many other reasons such as vaginal polyps, problems with cervix and you may think you are safe, but you are actually at a fertile time.
If bleeding occurs approximately 14 days after the date of your ovulation, in one regular menstrual cycle, than you could be sure that it is menstrual period!

Don't take any chances unless you want to become pregnant!!! I had no health concerns (ie polyps) and a cycle you could set a clock by. When I had unprotected on the last day of my period I ended up getting pregnant. Remember that sperm can stay vital for up to 7 days and it only takes one!!! I love my son but I was your age when I got pregnant and trust me IT"S YOUNG. So just make sure he wraps it until both you and your partner are ready for the consequences.
