Our grandson has been put on the medication "conserta" for help focusing at school. He was not hyperactive at school. His grades have improved greatly and he is able to focus on lessons at school. However one side effect of the medication is loss of appetite. He is 10 yrs. old and a big boy, he was wearing sizes 14-16. Since taking this med. for over a year now he has almost 20 lbs. He still looks good and the doctor says the weight is now holding and is therefore okay. This past 8 days he has blacked out and fallen once at school where his face hit his desk and he broke his front tooth and hurt his face and again today did the same at home while getting ready for school. He was taken to hospital both times. A "CAT " scan showed nothing unusual and he is booked for a " EEG" amonth from now. Has anyone reported these effects ?
