I’m 20 years old and I first started getting this when I was about 7 it goes for a couple of years then stays for a couple of years, I can’t pin point a pattern when it happens.
I feel it mostly when I go to sleep and stressing about it makes it 100% worse, I either have to talk to myself to distract myself or touch myself, which only leaves me pained and without the feeling until I wake up the next day.
I originally thought it was psychological trauma from sexual abuse when I was a child (although I haven’t ruled that out), my doctor said it was an anxiety muscle spasum and prescribed me antidepressants which I had gone off of a month prior which led me to feel this feeling for the first time in years, it went away for about 2 months and has now returned again.
The only slightly similar things I can find online is restless gential syndrome but I’m honestly to embarrassed to see my doctor about this again. I’m not sure what to do anymore.
Any help will be great! I’m going to force myself to talk to my doctor and if I have any news I’ll post here straight away!

I’ve just looked up Vaginismus and those things are the result of involuntary vagina muscle spasm. Something to look into! The information is only on Wikipedia but they have a list of main factors that may contribute to this spasm including sexual abuse, yeast infection and so on.
Look up both restless genital syndrome and vaginismus!

It does feel better when I tighten my vagina. Like when you hold your pee in but it’s annoying to always tighten it.

Hi Ladies, I am so glad I found this forum. I have had the same problem for years, starting when I was like 7 years old, and much worse in the past few months. Every time I go dinner with my husband I need to go to the toilet and masturbate because I can't put up with the feeling of being aroused (but not in a pleasant turned on way... more like an obligation kind of thing). At night I can't sleep, I need to wake up and masturbate in the toilet 3-4 times before being able to sleep... Apparently it's called Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder (PGAD): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persistent_genital_arousal_disorder https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/249594.php
