Had bleeding now for almost 22 months since giving birth. Keep being fobbed off by Drs. It's affecting my marriage and my sanity! I'm constantly depressed and very anaemic. Don't know how much longer I can cope with this as I am permanently tired, moody, my sex life is non existent and I fear my husband will leave me.

So crazy to see how many women are going through the same thing as me! I have now had my period for about 6 months. It'll stop maybe one day a month for just a couple hrs then start again. It is so annoying! Sometimes it gets super heavy & I constantly have to change my clothes. I made an appt to see a doctor in a week, hopefully they can help make it stop. But after reading all this I feel like there's isn't much hope. Sounds like a lot of you didn't get much help from the doctors

Polycystic ovaries will do that to you. Also the contraceptive rod aka implanon causes bleeding. See a gynocologist

Hi I was wandering if you managed to get this sorted in the end as my partner having similar issues as yourself but only been 9 months but it's making her feel down and upset and worried

I've been having the exact same problem, and it really seems like an issue that no doctor is willing to take seriously (I've gotten a lot of doctors of any gender going "aww you don't like your period?"). I'm 19 and have never had children or had sex, but I've been bleeding for five months straight extreemly heavily and had a three month period only two weeks before that. I've been put on 5 different birth control pills and none of them seem to have any impact aside from making the pain bareable enough, although the side effects hardly make it worth it. I'm sure that I must have something seriously wrong with my reproductive system to have this be happening, but I can't get access to anyone who sees this as a legitimate concern and I'm very afraid. My mother has never experienced this at all so I don't know what could be going on, but it's a relief to see that some people are experiencing similar issues!

I feel like we need our own personal support group. I'm 24 yrs of age, no birth control, no doctor, no kids, no insurance, no money, and no more hope. When I was at my 3 month mark I had went to the hospital only for the doctor to not even look at me and for him to tell me he won't stop my bleeding and that I needed a gyno..... My periods have really never been normal, but never like this. I went a whole yr in 2015 without bleeding. Then in mid 2016 I finally got a period that lasted for 3 days and then in late 2016 I had gotten a period for almost a complete month. Around my birthday 2017 is when I started bleeding and it has yet to stop. I suffer from depression and anxiety and having this happy for 6 months is really depressing. I may get 1 break every month but its barely a break..... I won't exactly stop bleeding but I'll stop bleeding heavy.... rn I've been experiencing heavy bright red bleeding.... when I go pee it looks like a pool of blood in and all over the toilet..... I've gone through so many clothes and sheets because I've bled through them all.... The extra heavy flow pads I bleed through.... I'm constantly crying on the toilet because I have no relief and on top of it all I'm constantly turned on..... I'm always in pain whether its from my ovaries or if its from my boobs. I'm desperate to get this bleeding to stop.... If anyone has info... please I beg you.... please lemme know.... I was actually looking for ways to stop it rather than finding people that are having the same nightmare as I am, I'm so sorry ladies..... I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. I know all too well what you're going through.... just hang in there..... I'm sure one day we'll all find relief.....

I had my son almost 6 months ago, after 3 months I started bleeding, didn’t think nothing of it, I stop breast feeding at almost 2 months, so I wasn’t sure why my period was so late, anyway... after I started bleeding I thought oh wow great 1st period after about a year, then I noticed every 10 min I would go to the bathroom and gushed of blood would just come out, that turned Into ever 5 min, after a day and 100 research later I see women who just had a baby say that they bleeding were also heavy, changing their pads every hour or 2, then I realized that this wasn’t normal bc I am bleeding heavy all over the place soaking really heavy pads every 5 min, the next day I had to call my sons aunt bc his dad was out of town for work, she came and I noticed I’m started to get dizzy, tired and my heart was beating really fast, by this time I knew I lost or loosing plenty of blood, drove myself to the ER bc I called my OB and she said “not normal, come to ER”

My OB hospital is 10min away from me local, from my house to there my pad was soaked, and I had to double up and put paper towels in between (that’s how bad I was bleeding) got to ER soon as the DR checked my Vigina and opened me up blood gushed all over the floor, he said not normal at all you’re bleeding hysterically we are calling your OB.

While I was in the ER I started to feel really dizzy n that’s when they started doing test, blood test and U/S, my blood came back normal (it did went down the next day bc I was still loosing blood day 3 of bleeding) they gave me 3 huge bag of estrogen through my IV, I was admitting and had to stay 24 hours, estrogen supposed to stop or calm the bleeding down by tricking your body. (Also I was hemorrhaging bad as well on top of the bleeding)

I was still bleeding but it calm down over night, before I left the hospital they took another blood test and my blood count was low (from bleeding a lot) I was taking pain meds, tytulla BC to stop the bleeding and iron pills, that they as august 13, 2017.

Went back to my OB 6 weeks later and I was still bleeding not much at all, but it never stopped either, well it did for maybe 2 days. Then pinkish again. She then said that I have a small cyst they found and want to monitor it and come back another 6 weeks and get blood test a week before my app.

I go for another check up next week oct 16,2017, I just started bleeding like crazy again 7 days ago, not as much like soaking my pads every 10 to 5 min, but this is more like my period, I say I’m changing my pads ever 3 to 4 hours and I’m starting to see clots again. I have been bleeding for 2 months straight now and idk what it is, definitely not normal and after I see my OB I’m gonna try and seek different opinion just Incase. Anyone find out anything let me know. Again I just had a baby and I’m sure it has a lot to do with it.

Hi everyone

Omgosh I feel ur pain.. last year 2016 I have been bleeding for 8 months then new years 2017 broke my leg an my period stopped an just recently 2 weeks ago in September it started up heavy dark an light non stop. Past 4-5 yrs I have been through alot. The birth control pills an some other strong pills which caused me to vomit an nausea. So they suggested a mirena that got pushed out asap. My bloods was too much. I've had a pelvic ultra sound scan done and the doctor found out that I have poly cystic ovaries meaning I have little tiny cysts thousands all over both my ovaries.. due to my fat cells.. he said the only way to get rid of it is to lose weight. Eat healthy.

I have non stop bleeding and seems like all they want to do is prescribe birth control. Had a d&c and Hysteroscopy. Stop bleeding after like a month then continued going to see someone about my blood.

I’m so glad I’m not alone in trying to find what’s going on. I’ve had a constant bleeding issue for 6 years, yes, SIX. When it first started I waited 6 months before seeking help - I was embarrassed - but when I woke up one morning covered in blood and passed a blood clot the size of my hand, I knew I needed help. I went to the ER & after a few tests and an ultrasound - apparently, I was fine. I went to my PCP who also stated I was fine & put me on birth control, which worked after a few weeks. Once my prescription ran up, she said I could get off of it and see if it helped straighten things out. A few months later, back to bleeding for months at a time. I tried different birth controls, same results. Fast forward to today, at 25, I’m on month 7 of bleeding. Usually it’s light, pad or 2 a day but 4-5 days a month I’m in so much pain, going through 4-5 pads an hour and passing extremely large clots. I’m at the age I want to have children and doctor’s seem to just want to put me on BC. The last doctor told me I’d be on BC for the rest of my life. This is terrifying. I can’t believe steady bleeding doesn’t seem to be an issue. It has caused me so much agony, embarrassment, depression, anxiety, & I’ve gained weight because of the depression & anxiety. I can’t have sex with my husband, and what about kids? Hopefully one day I can find a doctor that cares.
