To all the women going through this, you're not alone! I'm 25, no kids. I've been bleeding since February of this year. It's been pretty much non stop, I only stop bleeding for about a day or two each month. It varies from super heavy with clots to super light. It just depends on what my body feels like giving me that day. Lol. I've even been prescribed iron pills because I expierenced this same problem a few years ago and bled for 5/6 months, my iron got so low I became anemic. Sometimes the bleeding is accompanied by period cramps, but nothing super painful. Recently I've been looking up natural remedies because I'm really not a fan of taking medicine unless I absolutely have to, so I always look into home remedies first. Plus it seems like a lot of doctors prescribe birth control for irregular bleeding, but some women said birth control worsened their bleeding or it came back right away, so I'm a bit sceptical to explore that option. Has anyone been prescribed anything or tried any home remedies that actually made the bleeding stop? Blessings and healing to all of you. Stay strong. ❤

I am sorry that you had a miscarriage. My sister had 2 miscarriages back in the mid to late 90's and I suspect that she may have had the same problem as I do now. I remember with her first miscarriage, she said that she woke up in a pool of blood and then once she got to the hospital, they didn't really know what was wrong with her other than the miscarriage. I was told by my Gyno that if the uterus is too thick, it can cause blood to start backing up in to your uterus and that's what causes the big blood clots to come out. That certainly seems to me like it would cause a miscarriage. I constantly have stomach pains and I can understand why now since my blood is backing up like that. I do not have any children and I currently have an appointment to get my tubes tied, along with having the D&C next month. I don't want to scare you but it's possible that you may always have this problem. They can scrape the lining of your Uterus if it is too thick and if that is what is causing your problem. But it seems to me that even if they do that, the lining is just going to build back up again. You're going to have to get yourself an experienced Gynecologist who understands this problem and who can help you to understand what's going on. They can help you to find the right solution for getting pregnant and having a healthy birth. So far, my Gyno has not hinted that it would be impossible for me to have a child, but as I understand this problem is a dysfunctional uterus.

Apparently, the reason the lining of a uterus builds up to the point of being too thick is because of a lack of progesterone. The estrogen that your body naturally produces causes the lining to build in preparation for pregnancy. Then after ovulation, progesterone is created to cause the uterine lining to be shed. Without progesterone, your uterus never sheds its lining and can continue to build. So you would need to be treated with Progestin (usually a vaginal cream). So the hope for getting pregnant is not hopeless. It seems that Progestin can solve your problem. But you do need to get to an experienced Gynecologist so they can help you.

I am also 22 years old. I was on birth control for a few years then all of a sudden had a 7 month long period before my gyno took me off the pill. He took me off for 3 months (I didn't have a single period in that time) then put me on a different pill. It was normal for the first little while but here I am again on month 4 of my period. I also have the days where I don't bleed but there is the tan discharge as well. It seems like this is a common issue.. Are most of you on the pill or other types of birth control?

I took the Depo Shot back in 2010, the nurses did all the steps, had me take the pregnacy test first she said, "It was negative." She gave me the talk about how it could change my menstruation. I said it was "Okay with me." Later on that month I skipped my fist cycle, as a teen I was fine with it, then month two came around I was bleeding for 6 months straigh after month two. I went to Kaiser Permanente at the time. (Mind you; my pregnacy are Negative when I take the Pee on a Stick Test.) I had never know of a pregnancy, when I went to my gyno, for the first time she asked me "Had I ever gave birth." (Never was pregnate.) My menstruation was always on its on schedule (Abnormal.) My results ALWAYS COME OUT NEGATIVE. Later after taken the HPV Shot I was then diagnosed with HPV & Polycystic Ovaries. I never again have taken those types of shots. My most recent appointment with Planned Parenthood went as good as it can go, she did recommend a sonagram done on my pelvic area. This time I just went with Contraceptive Pills instead.

I'm so happy to have found this! I've never heard of anyone go through it, I was on my period for 6 months with NO days off.. it got to the point where I was fainting and throwing up. He doctors couldn't find of what it was I switched birth control I've been tested for overactive thyroid, anemia and every STD under the sun! Then my period stoped and the doctors but it down to the hormones in my previous DEPO shot 6 months before and put me on the copper coil so it had no hormones. BUT it's back I've been on my period for 2 weeks and I just feel like it's happening to me again and won't stop! Does anyone know what this could be???

Hello. Since my last post, I had a pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound done, I found out I have a polyp. I decided to play more of the waiting game to see if my bleeding stopped before considering surgery or pills. I started taking a one a day vitamin in pill form to help with any lack of nutrients/vitamins in my body. Within 2 days my bleeding stopped. One a day has vitamin k in it and after further research, I read that vitmain k plays an important role in blood clotting. I don't know if this is a coincidence or not, but I'm choosing to believe it's an answer from God! I hope this works for anyone else that decides to try it! I can't promise it will work for you, but I sure hope it does. I suggest talking to your doctor before purchasing these and do your own personal research to find the right solution for you. One a day is a multivitamin/multinineral supplement you can find at almost any convenience store. It comes in gummy and pill form. The pill form is the only one that contains vitamin k. Keep your heads up! The bleeding won't last forever.
