Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have been thinking I was losing my mind! Not only did I have trouble describing this phenomenon, but could not find anything that even resembled it in all my reading. But you guys have nailed it on the head and it corresponds directly to the few times in which I either switched anti-depressants or missed doses (particularly of Cymbalta). It's one of the most miserable feelings I've had...and it scared the dickens out of me.

It's called Serotonin syndrome. One in 10,000 get it. It comes when you miss a dose of an SSRI or are coming off of SSRI's. I get it all the time.

Hello - I've been having the same symptoms which started on the very day I stopped taking Cymbalta.  I had cut the dose in half for the week prior to stopping altogether.

I'm curious as to how long can one expect these symptoms to continue?

I have just started getting the same symptoms. My doctor keeps brushing it off and will not give me a referral to a neurologist. She said it is due to my asthma

Thank you for the insight. Just like your other reader I have realized I missed doses of my cymbalta and had this issue about 5 years ago when taking lexapro. I decided that I didn't want to be on Zoloft any longer because the VA had me in such a high dose I felt like a zombie and wouldn't listen to me so I took matters in to my own hands. I have also had an MRI done to see if I had a benign tumor on my otic nerve since I have weird unexplained hearing loss in my right ear, the interpretation of the MRI was areas of super white hyper densities that could be indicative of mini strokes and a slew of other issues. I took my dose and I am going to see if this helps! Both of the posts helped me!

Experiencing the same thing as well. I must say I'm relieved I stumbled upon this post. I never could describe the shock sensation and noise with eye movement. I, as well, started experiencing this after quitting LEXAPRO. Thanks for you post, God bless!

I recently ran out of Linzess due to my doc away from office. Anyway the second day l was without it l starting getting pulsing in my ears and electrical types shocks that pulse too. I also felt off balance had nausea. I went back on dose Tuesday eve but still am getting the symptoms. I did read you are supposed to take 4 weeks if you go off of Linzess. I might add that l am on cymbalta and lyrica for severve nerve pain. Not sure if it made the few days of Linzess worse if that is even what is causing this at all. Its a very scary feeling since you have no control over it at all. Anyone think its drug related or something else? Anyone get diagnosed with these symptoms for something other then missing a few days of a med? Thanks in advance for response . Brian

I am going through this right now. I compare it to ear ringing when I move my eyes. I also finished up Cymbalta last week, but the symptoms just started a couple of days ago. Very frightening, especially when driving. I find it difficult to look to the left for oncoming traffic!

I get this 24/7 and dr keeps saying it's my anxiety/panic disorder, but I'm not so sure.
Why should anyone get elec jolts in head and both arms, arms feel week and numb and I get a headache straight after, then all the symptoms of anxiety/panic follow, dr's and Sychology are rubbish
